I started diving in California at destinations such as Catalina Island, Lo Jolla Shores and Shipwreck Alley. Catalina was always fun, especially at Casino Point in the days before they put in steps and a handrail. I also dove in Hawaii off the Kona Coast of the Big Island as well as in Maui and Lanai where I dove in the lava tubes and cathedrals. I came to the Keys in 1992 and returned every summer or spring. Down here I’ve been all over Moe, Pickles, French Reef and even down in Looe Key, which is another great dive site.
