I started my diving career in the mid 70’s diving the lakes and quarries in Northern Virginia as a NAUI diver. I progressed up to a NAUI AI and expanded my diving to wrecks in New Jersey and North Carolina. After becoming a PADI instructor in the early 80’s, I began to dive the reefs in the Keys, Bahamas and Caribbean. The warm water and great visibility were for me. In 1987 I had my dry suit and snow shovel “cleaned and burned” and moved to the KEYS!! I’ve worked as a dive captain now for just about twenty years. I’m currently working for Florida Keys Dive Center and have been for more than 12 years.
